QAZAQ KURESI world championship, Aktobe city

QAZAQ KURESI — Kazakh national wrestling, which is one of the ancient sports. In modern Kazakhstan, this martial art is very popular, and Qazaq KURESI competitions are held on holidays and celebrations.

Since 1938, it has been included in the program of national competitions, and since 2016, UNESCO has noted the impact on strengthening relations between communities based on the principles of tolerance, goodwill and solidarity, and has included QAZAQ KURESI in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
